She might be eighteen. She might be thirty four. She might be you last year, which counts, and which some of you already knew before you finished reading this sentence.
She was doing her best with what she knew. She had no idea what was coming and she was braver than she ever got credit for.
THE QUESTION
What would you say to her, now that you know how it turned out?
THE QUEST
Write to her today. On paper, and use an actual card if you have one.
Tell her what you know now that she needed then. Tell her what you love about her. Tell her the thing she got right that nobody noticed at the time, because there is one.
Do not tell her to be careful. She has heard enough of that.
If writing is too much, say it into a voice note and let her hear it in your voice.
Then address the card, if you chose to write one, to yourself and post it. Yes, really. It turns up in two days from a woman who knows exactly what she is talking about. If you want to make it really interesting post it to someone else, but let it be your story.
