You made it to the end of week one.

Today is yours. If something sparked joy this week, go back to it. If something scared you, maybe go back to that instead.

And if resting is the hard one, let today be rest.

I come from a mother and a generation where rest had to be earned first. She only gave herself permission to sit down when she was eating, so she ate more than was good for her. That is what happens when the only acceptable reason to stop is a plate in your hand.

Take what you need today and leave the rest.

There is no wrong answer. Choosing what you actually need is the entire point.

THE QUESTION

Did something surprise you this week? Some small spark you had forgotten was there?

THE QUEST

Go back to it, on purpose, with full intention. Pleasure is allowed to repeat. Or if what you need today is stillness, rest. Your pages, your walk, your quiet evening. Both are the quest.

I hope the pages are getting easier, and that most mornings you are checking in with yourself to see what you actually need.

And take this at your own pace. If a quest takes you three days, it takes three days. Just do not let go of the four small things underneath it. Those are the base.

See you tomorrow.

THE RHYTHM

  • 🌅 Ten minutes of quiet before your phone

  • 📓 Three pages of whatever falls out

  • 🚶‍♀️ Ten minutes of moving, outside if you can

  • 🌙 Ten minutes of quiet before bed

  • 📵 Less news, less scrolling

In love, light and laughter,

Karen
